Knowledge Enterprise Development at Arizona State University issued the following announcement on Sept. 10
Continuing non-conference play on the road, Arizona State volleyball will travel to Norman, Oklahoma to participate in the OU Nike Invitational from September 13-14, facing Louisiana, Oklahoma and Georgia Tech.
The Sun Devils (4-2) had a tough weekend in Louisville at the Fleur De Lis Tournament, going 1-2 in those matches. Courtney Leffel continued her strong defensive play, however, and was named to the all-tournament team for her efforts.
The OU Nike Invitational this weekend will have live stats for each match, but no live streaming will be available.
Louisiana (3-3) | Friday, September 13, 9 a.m. MST
The Ragin' Cajuns have played all six of their matches at home so far in 2019, losing the first three and winning the last three.
Louisiana is led by Celeste Darling, who has 59 kills on the year.
This will be the first meeting between ASU and Louisiana.
Oklahoma (4-2) | Friday, September 13, 5:30 p.m. MST
The Sooners won their last three matches, all in five sets to win the Indiana Invitational.
Sarah Sanders leads the team with 57 kills while Keyton Kinley has 108 digs.
ASU and OU have met just once before, with the Sooners winning in 2012.
Georgia Tech (5-1) | Saturday, September 14, 11:30 a.m. MST
The Yellow Jackets won their last two matches last week, both on their home court.
Julia Bergmann is on a tear for GT to start the season, totaling 97 kills so far..
ASU leads Georgia Tech 2-0 in the all-time series.
