It is with great sorrow to announce that Amelia "Tidder" Louise Maktima has passed away on Thursday morning October 3rd 2019, at the age of 51. She is a beloved mother, daughter, nana, sister, aunt, cousin and best friend. She was born to Willard and Josephine Maktima on February 24th 1968, in Holbrook Arizona. She grew up in various places such as Phoenix, Flagstaff and Winslow. She graduated at Winslow High School in 1986 in Winslow, Arizona. She later moved to Phoenix to further her education. She lived her life providing for her two children. She enjoyed the simple things in life and she loved spending time with her family and friends, who then became family. She love to the fullest each day and making happy memories with those she held close. As she has made her journey home, she is welcomed by our all loved ones who have gone before her. She is predeceased by her mother Josephine, her brother Steve, her sister-in-law Sheri, and her other half Richard Levario Jr and many others we love and miss dearly. May they all reunite and celebrate her arrival home. She is survived by her father Willard, her daughter Ambra, her son Nicholas, her granddaughter Amaya, her grandson Isaiah, her sister Alberta, and her two brothers, Joe and Duane. Along with her entire family of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews
Celebration of her life will begin on Wednesday October 16th with the visitation /wake at Best Funeral Services from 5 PM- 8 PM located at 9380 West Peoria Avenue, Peoria, Arizona 85345. The Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday October 17th at St. Jerome Catholic Church located at 10815 North 85th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85029 starting at 10:30 AM- 12 PM. She will be laid to rest after Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery located at 9925 West Thomas Road, Avondale, Arizona 85392. A potluck reception will be held soon after her burial service for all her loved ones in honor of her memory. The reception room is located at Comfort Suites Hotel at 9824 West Camelback Road, Glendale, Arizona 85305. The family wishes to express their greatest gratitude and appreciation to all those who have shown their love and support, both emotionally and financially, during this past month proceeding her passing. Any floral gifts may be sent to St Jerome Church on the 17th.
