Jason Daniel Lyon was born on July 23, 1979 to Dan Lyon and Noreen Lyon (Chatfield) in Coldwater, Michigan. He has resided in Arizona for 37 years, where he played soccer for many years until he entered Maryvale High School where he played football for Coach Bruney and Munoz. Jason loved the game and loved his teammates. Jason was surrounded by his family as he left this world on November 3, 2019. He was welcomed into heaven by his grandparents, Dawson, Charlotte, Marilyn, his Uncle Gary, Uncle Dave and Aunt Clellene. Jason was the most kind and generous brother to his sister Jennifer (Jeff) Herrington, brothers, Trinity (Ashlee) and Dustin (Nikole). Uncle Squishy was the kind of uncle that every niece and nephew wants to have, no filter and all about having fun and picking on them. He was a big kid at heart. Terrin, Mikey, Ethan, Jackson, Rease, Laila and Reagan will miss him dearly. Imagine Uncle Squishy taking a 5 year old to a tattoo parlor, taking his nephew shooting, shopping at the American Girl (Warehouse) store with 3 little girls. He attended baseball, football and basketball games, dance recitals and anything else they were involved in. His family and friends were so important to him. He would drop whatever he was doing to help someone out. He was patriotic, he believed in the right to bear arms, the American flag and his freedom, and honoring those who served. Jason was not afraid to speak his mind, and believed in standing up for those who couldn’t. He spoke his mind, he appreciated our Military and First Responders. He would be the first one to donate to any fundraiser for military and their families and fallen First Responders. He always helped out people who were down and out, and he took care of his work family just like he took care of his family. Jason didn’t care what anyone thought about him, he was just honest and told you what he thought. Jason is survived by: his mom, Noreen, dad, Dan, stepmom, Vickie, sister, Jennifer (Jeff), brothers, Trinity (Ashlee), Dustin (Nikole), Jamie, Cory (Jennifer), Bobby (Phat Bastard) (Elaine), Grandparents, Dutch Chatfield, Don and Charleen Streets, nephews, Terrin, Mikey, Ethan, Jackson, and nieces, Rease, Laila, and Reagan, as well as aunts and uncles.
