City of Surprise issued the following announcement.
Mayor Skip Hall will kick off the City of Surprise spring training season with the 18th Annual Welcome Back Luncheon on Friday, February 14.
The event will feature a presentation with representatives from the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals; highlight how our hometown spring training teams gear up for the season; showcase the draw of Surprise Stadium’s first-rate baseball facilities; and give a preview of what’s in store for fans in 2020. This year’s spring training games begin February 21 – with the Rangers and Royals facing off.
The Welcome Back Luncheon is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, February 14 at Surprise Stadium, 15960 N. Bullard Avenue.
Admission is $30 for individuals and $200 for a table of eight; tickets are now available for purchase at the Surprise Stadium Box Office. To learn more or to get tickets, call the box office at 623-222-2222.
Event admission includes hors d’oeuvres provided by Carrabba’s Italian Grill, a special commemorative gift and complimentary entry into the College Baseball Classic at 1 p.m., featuring the New Mexico Lobos and 2018 National Champion Oregon State Beavers. Seating is limited.
